What is the PPWR Declaration of Conformity?

Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, PPWR) entered into force on 11 February 2025 and applies from 12 August 2026. From that date, each packaging type placed on the EU market must be covered by an EU Declaration of Conformity backed by technical documentation. Packaging without one cannot legally be placed on the market.
